The recycled skateboard display shelf is shown supporting a laptop and helping to organize a desktop space. The shelf surface is colorful 7ply skateboard edge and the legs showcase skate graphics. Legs are attached using skateboard trucks.

The original concept was for a shelf to ergonomically lift your monitor and help organize the desktop space. This is still my favorite function for this piece.

What’s next? A skateboard for your skateboard? The idea of furniture for your furniture did not occur to me at first, but after using the prototype of this desk shelf to elevate my computer and organize my workspace I flipped.

Uncommon Goods has been an excellent partner since way back when the first Deckstool designs were introduced. I developed this desk shelf, monitor stand, display stand in close collaboration with Meg, a super cool home goods buyer at UG. Reminiscent of classic Deckstool designs, the legs are attached using skateboard trucks, but rather than showcasing graphics, we flip the focus to the colorful 7Ply edge of the broken boards.
